The current official Navy flag with design first authorized in 1959, is made in the USA and mounted in one of two frame styles: a distressed light barnwood frame (as featured) or a custom stained dark barnwood frame for more formal environments. These military flags come in two standard sizes: a 2 x 3 foot flag (24 x 36 inches) set in a 28 x 38 inch frame and a 3 x 5 foot flag (36 x 60 inches) set in a 37 x 61 inch frame.
US Navy flag meaning
The military flag of the United States Navy depicts an interior image similar to that of the Navy seal. Positioned in the middle of a dark blue background, a tri-masted square rigged ship is underway at sea (the Navy is always vigilant always patrolling the seas). An American bald eagle rests on the anchor with one claw foot (signifying the important role the Navy has had in establishing and continuing a defense of the nation), a scroll proudly displays the phrase United States Navy beneath the ship and eagle.
