Celebrate the lone star state with this oversize custom Texas physical map, published in 1986 for the Texas Sesquicentennial, celebrating 150 years of independence (1836 to 1986). This governor’s edition is an official commemorative map, part of our framed Texas maps collection.

This large map measures approximately 45 inches wide x 41 1/2 inches high overall. Printed on sturdy and thick art gallery grade paper.

This state map features images of many landforms including lakes, river waterways, major cities, mountains, coast lands, forest, and other Texas regions.

Commissioned by the Texas Sesquicentennial Press in Austin, this physical map was a joint effort of four artists: Richard Hubbard – physical map base, Philip Trussell – Eagle and Quetzalcoatl, Sharon Roos – calligrapher and yellow rose, Ed Aiken – airbrush of Gulf of Mexico.
