Freight Program

We want you to have a good experience when receiving freight shipments from us or our Texas suppliers or items that must ship by common carrier (freight). Listed below are special terms for customers who use our freight program for furniture and other oversize items like outdoor grills and larger pieces of fine art that normally don’t fit FedEx, UPS or USPS standard ground delivery programs. In placing an order, the customer agrees that these terms apply regardless of order processing method: online, fax, mail or telephone and are an addendum to the current sales agreement:

SHIPPING: Unless special shipping instructions are specified at the time of the order, the order will be shipped in the manner deemed best by Texas Crazy.

PAYMENTS: Normally, all orders have two separate payments. We usually require a minimum of 50% down payment for shipped orders with the balance due at time of shipment.

CANCELLATIONS and REFUNDS: To offer you the very best pricing and selection, TEXAS CRAZY DOES NOT ALLOW REFUNDS ON CUSTOM or FREIGHT ORDERS, so please make your purchase choices carefully! However, if you change your mind before production begins, the order may be CANCELLABLE. In other words, once a custom order has been submitted, cancellations are subject to our ability to conform. Orders are not always processed through our production lines in the order they are received. If parts or cover materials are available, orders are occasionally started immediately upon receipt of your order. Once cutting, assembly or personalizing has begun on your custom order (including, but not limited to: home and office furniture, outdoor grills, and larger pieces of fine art), it CANNOT be canceled or refunded.

DELIVERY DETAILS: Before the freight program carrier arrives to deliver your order, they may contact you using the “ship to” telephone number to inform you when the delivery will be taking place. On that day, you or a designated person should plan to be on the premises. The customer understands additional freight charges may apply for storage if delivery is not possible in a timely manner and agrees to accept any of those storage fees. We normally deliver from our supplier to the home driveway or office freight dock. The customer is responsible to provide proper labor to take ordered merchandise to its final place of rest. THE SHIPPER WILL NOT PLACE ANY ITEMS INSIDE THE CUSTOMER’S HOME OR OFFICE.

FREIGHT LIABILITY: While Texas Crazy and our suppliers will make every effort to facilitate communications with the freight company as needed, Texas Crazy and their suppliers are not responsible for breakage in transit. Freight program orders are FOB supplier, which means the customer accepts ownership of the shipment at the supplier’s location. Before merchandise leaves the supplier, extra precautions are taken to ensure your order reaches you in the best possible condition. Merchandise is carefully inspected prior to boxing and shipping. Sealed packaging is also inspected by the transportation company and refused by them if not in good condition. If your order arrives with VISIBLE damage, we strongly recommend you, the customer, REFUSE THE SHIPMENT. If accepted anyway, NOTE THE EXACT NATURE OF THE DAMAGE on the Bill of Lading BEFORE the driver leaves. OPEN EACH PACKAGE and check each piece carefully for damage or scratches and proper piece count. Call and report damages to the freight company on the same day. The customer is encouraged to save all packing material, crates and boxes. CONCEALED damage and shortages must be reported to the freight company within 24 hours of delivery to the customer. Please unpack and check your order against the packing slip promptly. A digital photo as proof of damage will help aid you and the freight carrier in the claim process. ALL CLAIMS FOR DAMAGES MUST BE FILED DIRECTLY WITH THE FREIGHT CARRIER BY THE CUSTOMER (consignee).

DIMENSIONS AND WEIGHT: Every effort has been made to establish accurate dimensions and weight of our products. However, if EXACT measurements and/or weight are necessary, please request these in writing when the order is placed.

REPAIR: In the unusual case of items needing expert repair, a return of the merchandise to the factory/supplier may be required. Additional charges may apply. All returns of merchandise for repair must be approved in advance by the issuing of a Return Authorization number (RA#), which should be written boldly on the outside of each returned item’s shipping container.
