Celebrate the work of this Weatherford Texas artist, working cowboy and Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Famer with us. Like our other talented
Texas artists growing up in this beautiful place, his
Texas art journey began by drawing horses and cowboys from an early age, his whole life has been dedicated to the cowboy way of living, working on ranches with horses and cattle.

A short biography: Roger Langford's fascination with cowboys and their way of life began on the plains of West Texas. His grandfather's place bordered the
Double U Ranch near Draw, Texas. As a reward, his Dad would let him ride every calf he could catch. It was only a question of time where as a teen he started going to rodeos where he competed on the broncs and bulls, plus drawing pictures for his friends.
Roger competed in bareback riding and also became a pro bull rider in the R.C.A in the 60s and the P.R.C.A. in the 70s. After a bad injury in 1976, he quit riding bulls and stuck to ranch work for eleven years. It was during this time that Roger really focused on drawing the life of the rodeo cowboy. Roger's work has won several awards and his art has been seen both nationally and internationally. Roger Langford is part of a breed of artists who are cowboys first. His art work, paintings, illustrations and designs have appeared in many western publications and the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame Art Show. He was inducted into the TRCHF (
Texas Rodeo Cowboy Hall of Fame) in 2005 and is also the Official Rodeo Cowboy Artist for them as well.
