The Stampede Remington Sculpture

Product code: remington-stampede
$1,599.00
Originally cast by the Roman Bronze Works beginning in 1910, these Frederic Remington sculptures are fine art reproductions. The Stampede was the last sculpture Remington completed, with posthumous casting commissioned by Mrs. Remington.

The Stampede, also known as Caught in the Stampede, was originally cast 22 5/8 inches high. It depicts a lone cowboy being swept along with a relentless herd of cattle stampeding across the plains. This is a TexasCrazy favorite from the western bronze sculptures collection.

While the earliest original Remington sculptures were cast using the sand casting method (wax to plaster to baked sand to bronze), these western art reproductions are produced using the lost wax casting method. Of the two methods, lost wax casting is usually preferred because the reproduction more closely resembles the artist's original model.

Available in three sizes. Special note: the image of this stampede is a representation only and is fairly close to the jumbo we offer. A large and medium are available, but the accuracy of reproduction to the original is less satisfactory than the jumbo (orders may be placed for any of our sculptures but be advised they are not returnable for any reason).
