Celebrate early US History with this large 2 X 3 foot Don't Tread on Me Gadsden flag framed for your office or home decor, part of our framed Texas flags collection from our Texas history art section.
Christopher Gadsden, a South Carolina native and continental colonel, is credited with creating and presenting this American Revolutionary flag to the commander-in-chief of the newly formed American Navy in 1775. This flag has periodically been used as a symbol of American patriotism, during the Revolutionary War, and of late a flag to represent disagreement with government (e.g. Tea Party flag).
This Gadsden flag is handmade in the USA of cotton flag material. The flag is then hand stretched on a flag frame and comes with your choice of a rustic light barnwood frame, our custom dark finish barnwood frame, or ornate coffee and gold color frame. The Don't Tread on Me flag measures a large 24 x 36 inches in a 28 x 38 inch frame.
