Artist notes: Cattle are very social animals and seem to thrive on attention. It was on a warm spring day when I came across this scene in a pasture down a country road. Now I have seen cows groom each other a lot of times in my life, but this one just struck me as a special moment that I had to paint. What a blessed opportunity when two beings reach out to see to another one's needs and comfort.
