A short biography:
From her home in Austin, Texas, Sherry brings a unique style to the field of art. Self-taught and painting since 1993, her signature technique is working exclusively with permanent inks. Blending and overlaying the multiple colors that are mixed for each piece brings an unexpected depth and texture to her work, unattainable with the traditional use of black ink or watercolor washes. Sketching from her life's perspective indelibly marks all her work, whether the subject is found on a Texas ranch, in the wild, or in Texas history. Always keeping focus on the natural beauty of her subjects, she lets their inherent qualities speak for themselves...and her work leaves us richer in the process.Exhibits and Shows of Note:
