An East Texas country town's highway intersection in front of an International Harvester store is seen in this print reproduction of an oil painting by East Texas artist Howard DuBois.
Artist Notes: This painting has brought a lot joy into my life. My mind drifts back in time to the fifties when I was just a boy and my father would take me to the shop with him in the summer when I was out of school. He was a mechanic and I remember when he worked in such a place as this. I can still smell the grease and oil that penetrated the air and the sound of those old trucks. Crossroads often had no stop lights but people on the roads were usually kind and courteous to each other.
Printed on archival paper, this open art print celebrating Texas in the 1950's is hand signed by the artist and measures 13 x 19 inches.
